Looks and feels rugged!

"Just picked up the Boom Cup Holder mount the other day for my 2017 Chevrolet Colorado as I was looking for a good way to mount my phone in my truck on road trips. So far I like how it feels up my dash and doesn't block my view through the windshield. Seems to be a snug fit but does seem a little wobbly but time will tell. I'll update my review after road testing as I'm hoping this will be the last phone mount I'll ever need in the future. Thanks!"

One design flaw

"I jumped back in the road last winter after taking a few years off and wanted something that could work in every vehicle that I transport. The reviews were great on this product and it seemed to fit my needs. I was using a foam cup holder initially to hold it in place until another transporter showed me the base lock in feature. Changed my world! However, there are vehicles that I can’t fully extend the arm so I leave it in its compact form. It appears that a lever on the back is supposed to lock it into place but it doesn’t hold up to highway construction zones. My phone has hit the ground too many times because of this flaw in design. A fix could be a swivel head so you can rotate the phone 180 to use gravity as your friend rather than a foe! Another option to fix this flaw might be to have a locking mechanism that is push button (similar to the expander button). I know it comes down to cost in production because this product isn’t cheap to purchase and there’s usually a 100% mark up over cost of manufacture for packaging, shipping, marketing and distribution. I’m sure you’re seeing about a 40% return on your investment. This item has flown and gone through airport security both domestic and internationally and has only been pulled from my bag twice. I now pull it with my laptop everytime I fly."
